Worker Killed in Atlantic City Radio Tower Accident, Rescue Efforts Underway
UPDATE: A tragic accident at a radio tower in Atlantic City has resulted in the death of a worker and the rescue of two others. The incident occurred on Thursday in the Venice Park neighborhood when an unknown object fell and struck one of the three workers from a private company, according to the Atlantic City Public Safety Office.
Immediate rescue efforts were launched after the accident. The two surviving workers attempted to perform CPR on their colleague but were unable to revive him. He tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Firefighters arrived promptly, successfully bringing all three men down safely from the tower.
Despite the traumatic experience, the surviving workers declined medical treatment and chose not to be taken to the hospital, officials confirmed. The circumstances surrounding the falling object are still under investigation.
