UPDATE: A shocking murder has occurred at Salinas Valley State Prison in California, where authorities confirm that an alleged Aryan Brotherhood member, Todd “Fox” Morgan, was killed on Thursday morning. The attack, which took place just before 10 a.m., involved three inmates armed with improvised weapons, raising serious concerns about gang violence within the prison system.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation identified the suspects as Todd Givens, Ray Waldron, and Robert England, who have since been moved to restrictive housing. Morgan, aged 57, had a long criminal history, including robbery, burglary, and drug-related offenses. He was serving a 21-year federal prison sentence linked to a major drug operation he allegedly ran before his incarceration.

Authorities report that Morgan was previously indicted in 2020 for orchestrating a drug ring that involved the Aryan Brotherhood, the Fresno-based Fresnecks gang, and other white supremacist groups. Court documents reveal that Morgan utilized contraband cellphones to coordinate drug trafficking both inside and outside prison walls, with operations extending across state lines. In a notable incident, a man attempted to throw a drug-filled football over the prison fence.

Givens, known as “Stomper,” is a former inmate from San Quentin’s death row and is suspected of having ties to the Nazi Low Riders prison gang. His violent history includes a stabbing incident involving a deceased Aryan Brotherhood hitman. Waldron, linked to the Mongols Motorcycle Club, was convicted in connection with a 2003 murder in San Diego. England has been named by federal prosecutors as a target for murder by the Aryan Brotherhood in 2023.

The precise motive behind Morgan’s murder remains unclear. However, he was scheduled for a parole hearing in 2028, which may have played a role in the violence. Since 2019, federal prosecutors in Northern California have launched a series of racketeering indictments against numerous Aryan Brotherhood members, leading to multiple convictions for serious crimes, including murder.

This incident underscores the ongoing violence and gang activity pervasive in California’s prison system, raising alarms about inmate safety and the influence of organized crime behind bars. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are expected to release more details regarding the circumstances surrounding Morgan’s murder and the involvement of the suspects.

Stay tuned for more updates as this story develops. The implications of this murder could reverberate throughout the prison system and beyond, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced security measures to address gang-related violence in correctional facilities.
