Man Arrested for Shooting at Driver in Hartford Road Rage Incident

BREAKING: A man has been arrested for allegedly shooting at another driver during a heated road rage incident in Hartford on October 19, 2023. Police responded to reports of gunfire just before 8:40 PM at the intersection of Park and Washington Streets, where they discovered damage to the victim’s vehicle caused by the shooting.

According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department, no injuries were reported in the shocking encounter. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect’s vehicle, enabling officers from the Hartford Police Violent Crimes Unit and the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force to locate it shortly after the incident.

The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Lorenzo Dunn of Hartford, was swiftly taken into custody. Police also recovered a firearm and narcotics from Dunn’s vehicle during the arrest. Authorities have revealed that Dunn was already wanted for an earlier assault involving a firearm reported earlier this year.

Dunn now faces serious charges including criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, among others. He has been transported to the Hartford Police Detention Facility following his arrest.
