The Mokpo Police Station executed an arrest warrant for the artist, who is currently being investigated for violating South Korea’s Narcotics Control Act.
Authorities allege that D.Ark was involved in both using and distributing marijuana. However, police sources reveal that D.Ark has denied all allegations during interrogations. The timing of this arrest has sent shockwaves through his fanbase, who are still reeling from the release of his new single on October 23.
D.Ark, of Korean-Chinese descent from Yanbian, gained fame through his participation in popular shows like Mnet’s Show Me The Money 777 and High School Rapper 4. He initially signed with PSY’s agency P Nation, but his contract ended after less than a year. D.Ark has since continued his career under the smaller management company Gazplan.
The new album featured tracks such as “1010,” “Girlfriend,” and “Sorry for Cheating,” all of which showcased his rising star power. Fans are now left in disbelief as they process this sudden turn of events.
No official statement has been released from his agency, and the investigation is ongoing. As developments unfold, D.Ark’s future in the music industry hangs in the balance, making this a critical situation for both the artist and his supporters.
