BREAKING: A devastating house fire in Paterson, New Jersey, has tragically claimed the lives of five individuals, including three children. The incident occurred on Halloween night, with firefighters responding to the scene at 9:56 p.m. on Friday, October 31, at 15 Emerson Ave.

The fire, intensified by fierce winds, rapidly engulfed the small wood-frame home, spreading to the second level where the victims were discovered. Paterson Fire Chief Alex Alicea confirmed that both adults and children were among the deceased, although their exact relationships remain unclear.

In an official statement, the Red Cross reported, “Our disaster volunteers were at the scene and assisted three people in two families with emergency assistance to help with temporary lodging, food, clothing, and other immediate needs. We expect to provide emergency assistance to an additional four people who requested that we meet with them later today.”
