URGENT UPDATE: A frost advisory and freeze warning have just been issued for parts of Central Florida. The National Weather Service (NWS) Melbourne warns residents to prepare for potentially dangerous conditions early Wednesday morning.

Temperatures are expected to plunge into the mid-30s, particularly in Volusia and Lake counties, where frost is anticipated until 8 a.m. today. This advisory extends to areas of northwest Orange, western Seminole, and northwest Brevard counties, where patchy frost may occur.

In addition to the frost advisory, a freeze warning is currently in effect just west of Leesburg. Residents in these areas are urged to take precautions to protect sensitive plants and pets from the cold.

While Wednesday will see sunny conditions with highs just below 70 degrees, the morning chill may catch many off guard. The NWS emphasizes the need for vigilance as temperatures drop overnight.

Authorities also report a moderate risk of rip currents at local beaches, adding another layer of caution for those planning to venture out.

As temperatures fluctuate, residents should stay informed and take necessary steps to safeguard themselves and their property. For the latest updates, keep an eye on local weather reports and advisories from the NWS.

Stay warm, Central Florida!
