Big Apple Circus Launches in NYC with Family Fun Until January 2026
UPDATE: The iconic Big Apple Circus has officially returned to New York City, bringing thrilling entertainment for families until January 4, 2026. Offering breathtaking stunts, high-flying acrobatics, and laughter, this year’s show promises to be a must-see event for all ages.
Officials confirm that the circus has designed a spectacular lineup featuring beloved acts like the Bigo Troupe, The Bone Breakers, and the Kung Foo Boys. “I think we’ve built a really good show this year, and I think people will love it,” said Joe Gold, the producer of the Big Apple Circus. “My job is to make sure that people have a good time.”
The circus has been a cherished tradition in NYC for nearly 48 years, captivating generations of New Yorkers with its unique blend of heartwarming entertainment. “At the Big Apple Circus, the parents are enjoying themselves. The kids are enjoying themselves. And how often does that happen that you have great family entertainment?” Gold added.
Leading the circus as ringmaster is Brett Alters, who brings his global experience to the stage. “This is like the ultimate job where I get to say, let me share my cool friends with you,” Alters expressed, reflecting on the joy of introducing the world-class performers to the audience.
The atmosphere is charged with nostalgia, featuring classic circus delights such as popcorn buckets and the electrifying sound of the crowd. Eyewitness News anchors Shirleen Allicot and Pedro Rivera are set to take on guest ringmaster roles this Friday night, adding to the excitement.
