Stefon Diggs Sues Influencer for Defamation Over Assault Claims
UPDATE: NFL star Stefon Diggs has filed a defamation lawsuit against social media influencer Christopher Blake Griffith, following shocking allegations of drugging, sexual assault, and conspiracy to commit murder. The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, was officially filed on October 1, 2023, and Diggs is calling the claims “pure fiction.”
The controversy stems from an alleged incident that occurred at Diggs’ home in Rockville, Maryland, in May 2023. According to Diggs, after attending a charity basketball game in Washington, D.C., he and Griffith returned to his residence along with other influencers. Diggs recounts that he retired to his bedroom while his assistant asked Griffith to leave, marking what he describes as an uneventful evening.
However, more than two years later, in the summer of 2025, Griffith made explosive claims on social media, accusing Diggs of drugging and assaulting him, and later conspiring to silence him to hide “gay/bisexual secrets.” These allegations were disseminated to Griffith’s tens of thousands of followers, and he tagged the New England Patriots and the NFL, as well as Uggs, a brand that sponsors Diggs.
In response to these damaging accusations, Diggs has launched a libel suit, asserting that Griffith knowingly fabricated these stories to gain online notoriety, severely damaging his reputation in the process.
“We reached out to Griffith’s attorney, Jake Lebowitz, who stated, “Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks.”
Stefon Diggs is seeking damages along with attorney fees, although the amount has not been disclosed. Legal experts speculate that the case could involve substantial financial claims given the serious nature of the allegations and the potential impact on Diggs’ career.
As this lawsuit unfolds, the implications for both Diggs and Griffith could be significant. Fans and followers are closely watching for updates on this high-profile legal battle as it may affect endorsements, public perception, and future careers in the NFL and social media realms.
