Arc Raiders Players Outraged Over $25 Skin Prices in Game
UPDATE: Arc Raiders players are expressing outrage over the latest store update, which features skin prices soaring up to $25 in a game that costs $40. The backlash is intensifying as players question the value of these cosmetic items, demanding change from developers.
The discontent comes as the new store update was announced on November 6, 2025, revealing the Leviathan Set and Wilderness Scout Set. Players are furious, claiming that prices are exorbitant, especially since the Leviathan skin is reported to be a mere reskin of an existing outfit. One player vented, “Bro, how are you gonna just shrug at $25 skin bundles in a $40 game? That’s unacceptable.”
Arc Raiders, developed by Embark Studios, is not a free-to-play title, making the high cost of cosmetics particularly contentious. Comparatively, other games like Valorant and Overwatch 2 offer similar cosmetic items but are free-to-play. The average skin price in Arc Raiders hovers around $20, which is raising eyebrows among the community.
In a recent Reddit discussion, player TheOnlyRealOne43 criticized the reuse of designs, stating, “Not only are skin prices absurd, but some of them are copy-pasting a majority of an outfit to other outfits and giving them a different head/chest piece.” This sentiment reflects a growing frustration that has been brewing among players, especially when many feel they want to support the developers but find the prices unattainable.
The reaction is not isolated. Another player, Vovancheg31, remarked, “I understand people want to support you, but I’m not making that much money here.” This highlights the emotional toll on players who feel compelled to choose between supporting the game and managing their finances.
While some argue that players can simply opt not to purchase these skins, the underlying issue remains: players feel they should have the choice to buy cosmetics without breaking the bank. The community’s dissatisfaction echoes concerns seen in other live service games, where cosmetic pricing often leads to similar outcries.
As players continue to voice their frustrations, it remains uncertain how Embark Studios will respond to these growing concerns. The latest store update has not only sparked anger but has also reignited discussions on fair pricing in gaming.
With the gaming community closely watching, the pressure is on for Embark to address these issues head-on. What happens next could shape the future of Arc Raiders and its relationship with its player base.
Stay tuned for further updates as this story develops. Players are urged to share their experiences and opinions on social media, amplifying their collective voice in this urgent matter.
