Bad Bunny Makes Grammy History, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus Snubbed
BREAKING: The 2026 Grammy Awards nominations are in, and Bad Bunny has made history as the first Spanish-speaking artist to secure nominations in the top three categories! This ground-breaking announcement was made this morning by the Recording Academy, featuring a star-studded lineup of past Grammy winners, including Lizzo, Sam Smith, and KAROL G.
In a powerhouse year for music, Bad Bunny leads the nominations for Album of the Year alongside big names like Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Lady Gaga. The Record of the Year category showcases Bad Bunny once again, with a strong competition from Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and Bruno Mars. Notably, Song of the Year features Bad Bunny‘s track “DtMF” alongside Gaga’s “Abracadabra” and Lamar’s “Luther”.
However, not all stars are celebrating. Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus have been notably snubbed in the Best Music Film category, despite their compelling visual albums “Something Beautiful” and “Brighter Days Ahead”. While both artists are not completely out of the running, as Ariana received a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Cynthia Erivo, and Miley earned a nod for Best Pop Vocal Album for her project.
The excitement continues with the introduction of two new categories: Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album. In a year of fresh talent, Best New Artist nominees include Olivia Dean, Katseye, and Addison Rae, among others, spotlighting the next generation of music stars.
As fans speculate about the nominees, many are concerned about Taylor Swift‘s exclusion for her album “The Life of a Showgirl”. However, sources confirm that the album did not meet the eligibility window for this year’s Grammys, leaving her still in contention for the 2027 Grammys.
The 2026 Grammy Awards ceremony is set to take place on February 1 in Los Angeles. With nominations that reflect a diverse array of talent, the anticipation builds for what promises to be an unforgettable event.
Stay tuned for updates as fans and industry insiders react to the nominations and speculate on the outcomes of this year’s prestigious awards!
