Beloved NJ Seafood Spot Closes, New Concept Coming Next Spring
BREAKING: A beloved seafood destination at the Jersey Shore has officially closed its doors, and big changes are on the horizon. Pinky Shrimp’s Seafood Shack in Beach Haven, NJ, known for its mouthwatering chowders and fresh seafood, is set to be transformed into a new culinary venture by spring 2024.
Local realtor Sean Adams from The Adams Group LBI confirmed that the property has changed hands. The longtime owner decided to step back after years of running one of the busiest seafood joints in the area. While details remain scarce, Adams noted that the owner is exploring new opportunities in the culinary world, hinting at potential future projects.
Before its closure, Pinky Shrimp’s was a staple for locals and tourists alike, renowned for its lobster, clam strips, scallops, and tuna. It consistently ranked among the top restaurants on the island, drawing crowds eager to indulge in its seafood offerings.
According to Adams, the new owner is a local entrepreneur with a vision to revitalize the space. Although specifics are currently under wraps, the exciting plan includes a complete renovation to launch an Argentinian empanada restaurant. This shift promises to introduce a fresh flavor to the community, offering flaky dough filled with a variety of savory options.
If everything progresses as planned, the new dining experience could be ready to welcome guests by as early as spring 2024. This transition marks a significant change for the local dining scene, as Pinky Shrimp’s has long been a cherished fixture. The prospect of a new restaurant has locals buzzing with anticipation, eager to see how this new concept will unfold.
The closure of Pinky Shrimp’s serves as a poignant reminder of the evolving landscape of the Jersey Shore’s culinary offerings. As the community prepares for this transformation, residents and seafood lovers alike are left wondering how the new venture will shape the future of dining in Beach Haven.
