Charlotte M. Seim, Beloved Community Member, Passes at 89
BREAKING: Charlotte M. Seim, a cherished member of the Guilderland community, has passed away at the age of 89. Seim, the widow of the late William R. Seim, died on November 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Born on February 26, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jennie (Travis) Woodard. She dedicated her career to Travelers Insurance Company, where she not only built a successful professional life but also met her late husband, William. Her family, including her children and grandchildren, were the center of her world.
Known for her warm spirit and infectious sense of humor, Charlotte was a staple in the Baptist community. She often brightened the halls of Baptist Health, where she engaged with fellow residents and participated in various crafts and activities. Her love for walking, particularly when it involved shopping or visiting craft fairs, was well-known among her friends and family.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Donna (Ronald) Healt, William (Debra) Eggleston III, Richard (Cheryl) Eggleston, Michael (Rose) Eggleston, and Guy (Susan Jacobson) Eggleston. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
In a heartfelt statement, the family expressed gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Community Hospice, specifically acknowledging Brittany and her team for their exceptional care. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, November 20, at 11 a.m., with interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland.
Charlotte’s passing marks a significant loss for her family and the community. Her kindness and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
