Cherry Hill Man Arrested for Attempted Child Luring in Undercover Sting

URGENT UPDATE: A 62-year-old man from Cherry Hill, NJ, has been arrested for allegedly attempting to lure a minor for sexual activity. Nimrod Lasman is facing serious charges following an undercover operation by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office on October 27, 2023.

Authorities report that Lasman engaged in online chats where he believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old boy. In a shocking twist, the supposed minor was actually an undercover detective. During these exchanges, Lasman made plans to meet at the Cooper River Dog Park to carry out the sexual encounter.

Detectives swiftly apprehended him at the park later that day. Following his arrest, Lasman was taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility for processing, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
