Of Mice & Men Set for Urgent Long Beach Acoustic Show Nov. 13
URGENT UPDATE: Iconic Orange County alt-metal band Of Mice & Men is preparing for an exclusive acoustic show and album signing on November 13, 2023, at 5:30 PM at Fingerprints Music in Long Beach. This event comes just one day before the highly anticipated release of their ninth studio album, “Another Miracle”, set to drop on November 14.
This exciting announcement highlights the band’s enduring passion for music and their dedication to connecting with fans. Drummer Valentino Arteaga emphasized the significance of the upcoming album, stating, “To be a band in our ninth album is another miracle.” The band’s journey spans over 15 years, and Arteaga reflects on the incredible support they’ve received from fans throughout their career.
The album, featuring 12 tracks, represents both a personal and expansive evolution for the band. Arteaga describes it as “heavy, melodic,” with a mix of familiar sounds and innovative experimentation. He noted that the opening track, “A Waltz,” showcases a new style for the band, incorporating theatrical elements and classical inspirations.
“We’re kicking down the door and hoping people realize that we’re not just going to make the same album over and over again,” Arteaga said, highlighting the band’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
The title track, “Another Miracle,” offers an aggressive yet melodic experience, posing a reflective question to listeners: “What’s one more miracle?” Meanwhile, the recently released single “Wake Up” channels nostalgia with its 1990s shoegaze vibes, inspired by alt-rock icon Alanis Morissette. Arteaga revealed that the band has reached out to Morissette’s management for a potential collaboration, keeping hopes alive.
As they gear up for the Long Beach show, Arteaga reassures fans that the band is not slowing down. “We love writing music, we love putting out albums, and as long as there are people listening, we’re going to make albums,” he stated passionately.
