San Jose Man Arrested for Ramming Pickup into Food Truck

UPDATE: A 27-year-old man from San Jose has been arrested for allegedly ramming his pickup truck into an occupied food truck, a shocking incident that occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. on August 18. The San Jose Police Department confirmed that the suspect faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism, following his arrest on October 30.

Authorities report that officers responded to the scene on the 2900 block of Monterey Road after receiving reports of a violent assault. Upon arrival, they discovered that the suspect had driven his vehicle into the parked food truck multiple times, where three employees were present. Fortunately, all employees escaped without injuries.

The assault caused significant property damage, estimated at $10,000. A video captured during the incident shows the white pickup truck reversing and crashing through an empty seating area before striking the food truck, escalating the chaotic scene.
