Steve Bannon Urges DOJ Allies to Act Fast on Trump’s Prosecutions
BREAKING: Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon has issued a stark warning to allies within the Department of Justice (DOJ), claiming they are “hanging on by their fingernails” and failing to act swiftly enough against Trump’s perceived political adversaries. In a heated interview with MAGA commentator Tucker Carlson on “The Tucker Carlson Interview” on October 25, 2023, Bannon criticized key DOJ figures, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, for their lack of urgency in prosecuting individuals related to the January 6 insurrection.
Bannon’s comments come amid escalating tensions within the GOP regarding the handling of prosecutions that he claims are crucial for what he describes as Trump’s mission to “save the Republic.” He expressed his affection for Patel and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, yet insisted that their efforts are insufficient. “I love Kash and I love Dan Bongino. Kash is like a brother to me,” Bannon stated, adding, “But they’re two guys hanging on by their fingernails.”
The former advisor pinpointed the DOJ’s failure to pursue charges against alleged instigators of the January 6 riots and called for the removal of attorneys involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, which scrutinized Trump’s connections to Russia during the 2016 campaign. “This is why I say we need 25-30 more prosecutors,” Bannon emphasized. “You gotta get on with it.”
Bannon’s remarks underscore a growing sense of urgency among Trump’s supporters, who are increasingly frustrated with perceived inaction from the DOJ. As the clock ticks down on Trump’s political future, the implications of Bannon’s call to action could reverberate through the Republican base, potentially influencing upcoming elections.
With Bannon’s powerful connections and vocal support for Trump, his comments are likely to stir significant discussion among MAGA followers and political analysts alike. As the situation develops, observers will be keenly watching how the DOJ responds to these urgent demands for action.
