Urgent: Worker Dies in Atlantic City Radio Tower Accident
UPDATE: A tragic accident unfolded Thursday afternoon in Atlantic City, where a worker died while performing maintenance on a 340-foot radio tower. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM near the drawbridge on Route 30.
According to reports from WPVI-TV, a crew of three men was working on the structure when one worker suffered severe injuries. Despite efforts to bring him down, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two crew members were unharmed.
The radio tower, located on Murray Avenue, has been part of the Atlantic City skyline for decades and previously hosted 1340 AM WMID and 99.3 WMID-FM (now WZBZ).
