Utah’s Ballerina Farm Co-Founder Shares Daily Life Routine
UPDATE: Hannah Neeleman, co-founder of the popular Ballerina Farm, has opened up about her daily life as a mother of eight and a thriving entrepreneur. The 328-acre farm in Utah has captured the attention of over 21 million followers across social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
In a recent interview, Neeleman revealed her morning routine starts at 7 a.m. when her toddlers wake her. “That’s my alarm clock, and it’s the best,” she said, highlighting the joy of family life. For Neeleman, family comes first, as she and her husband, Daniel Neeleman, emphasize a hands-on approach to parenting and business.
The couple launched Ballerina Farm about eight years ago, aiming to create a sustainable lifestyle that includes their children. “I didn’t want to put them in daycare,” she explained, referencing her own upbringing intertwined with her parents’ flower shop. Their journey from a small farm with just four pigs has transformed into a bustling operation with around 100 employees.
Each day is a blend of family and business. Neeleman focuses on meal prep on Tuesdays, dedicating 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to cooking and creating content for her followers, reflecting her passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients. She shares snippets of her culinary adventures online, engaging her audience with homemade recipes straight from her farm.
Lunch is a family affair around 1 p.m., where they gather to enjoy hearty meals that often include homemade bread and locally sourced meats. However, dinner is more casual, accommodating the busy schedules of her children involved in various sports and activities.
The Ballerina Farm brand is not just about food; it encompasses a lifestyle movement aimed at promoting self-reliance and sustainability. “We want to build something that has meaning and depth,” Neeleman emphasized, expressing her commitment to the brand’s legacy rather than a quick sale.
As the day winds down, Neeleman dedicates time to her nightly skincare routine, using tallow-based products to care for her skin. “This is serious; we got to step up our game,” she said, underscoring the importance of self-care amidst her busy life.
After family time and scripture study around 9 p.m., she shifts to work, editing content and preparing for the next day. Neeleman typically goes to bed around midnight, joking about the exhaustion of parenthood and entrepreneurship: “We haven’t slept in about 10 years.”
On Sundays, the family tries to disconnect, avoiding social media and focusing on their faith. “It’s a constant journey thinking about how we can put the cleanest, best products in people’s hands,” she concluded, highlighting the importance of their mission.
This latest glimpse into Hannah Neeleman’s life not only showcases her dedication as a mother and business owner but also reinforces the growing trend of agritourism and sustainable living. As Ballerina Farm continues to thrive, its message resonates deeply with audiences seeking a return to simpler, more meaningful lifestyles.
