Stratos Wealth Advisors Cuts iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 ETF Stake
Stratos Wealth Advisors LLC has reduced its stake in the iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 Value ETF (NYSEARCA: IJJ) by 1.6% in the second quarter of 2023, according to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Following the sale of 244 shares, Stratos now holds 15,339 shares, valued at approximately $1,896,000 at the end of June.
This adjustment comes amid activity from other institutional investors and hedge funds, which have also adjusted their positions in the fund. For instance, Avantax Advisory Services Inc. increased its holdings by 7.1% during the first quarter, acquiring an additional 1,451 shares to bring its total to 21,869 shares, now worth $2,618,000.
Neumann Capital Management LLC similarly boosted its stake by 1.4% in the second quarter, resulting in ownership of 27,110 shares valued at $3,350,000. In addition, Kingswood Wealth Advisors LLC significantly increased its holdings by 40.7% during the first quarter, owning 2,404 shares now worth $288,000 after purchasing 695 additional shares. HSBC Holdings PLC also entered the scene with a new stake valued at approximately $334,000.
Hedge funds and institutional investors collectively own 66.95% of the iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 Value ETF, reflecting a strong interest in the fund’s performance.

As of Friday, the iShares S&P Mid-Cap 400 Value ETF opened at $128.19, showing an increase of 0.2%. Over the past year, the ETF has experienced a low of $102.24 and a high of $136.42. The fund boasts a market capitalization of $7.83 billion, a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 16.13, and a beta of 1.17, indicating slightly higher volatility compared to the market. Its 50-day simple moving average stands at $129.42, while the 200-day moving average is $123.28.
