Scott Adams Appeals to Trump for Urgent Cancer Treatment Help
URGENT UPDATE: Cartoonist Scott Adams has reached out to former President Donald Trump for immediate assistance with his health insurance provider, Kaiser Permanente, amid a critical delay in scheduling a potentially life-saving cancer treatment.
In a post on X earlier today, Adams revealed that Kaiser Permanente of Northern California has approved his application for Pluvicto, a newly FDA-approved drug for metastasized prostate cancer. However, the infusion has not been scheduled, leaving Adams feeling increasingly desperate. “I am declining fast,” he wrote, pleading for Trump’s intervention to expedite the scheduling for as soon as Monday. “That will give me a fighting chance to stick around on this planet a little bit longer.”
The situation escalated quickly, with Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responding within hours, asking how to contact Adams. “The President wants to help,” Kennedy stated on X, signaling a serious commitment to addressing Adams’ urgent plea.
Trump himself reacted promptly, posting “On it!” on Truth Social. Additionally, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino reassured Adams that there was no need to wait until Monday, stating, “@realDonaldTrump, @RobertKennedyJr., and @DrOz are all tracking now, Scott.”
Adams disclosed his cancer diagnosis earlier this year and has been open about the daily pain he endures, using a walker for mobility. According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer affects one in eight American men, ranking as the second leading cause of cancer deaths among males after lung cancer.
This urgent call to action highlights the challenges faced by patients navigating the healthcare system, especially when time is of the essence. As the story develops, many will be watching to see if Adams receives the treatment he desperately needs.
Stay tuned for updates on this critical situation as Adams awaits a response from Kaiser Permanente and the involvement of Trump and Kennedy.
