URGENT UPDATE: Authorities in York County have identified the couple found dead in their Fairview Township home following a shooting early Wednesday morning. Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Wilcox Drive at 6:40 a.m., where they discovered the bodies of 68-year-old Ann Savidge and 71-year-old Donald Savidge in a bedroom.

The incident appears to be contained to the home, with no ongoing threat to the public, according to Ted Czech, spokesperson for the York County Office of Emergency Management. While he indicated a potential murder-suicide, specifics regarding the number of shots fired or whether a firearm was recovered have not been confirmed.

Local records reveal that Donald Savidge was a nurse anesthetist and Ann Savidge was a registered nurse, both contributing members of their community. The couple had resided at their Wilcox Drive home since 1999. Neighbors described them as pleasant, though few had close ties with the couple.

As investigations continue, residents are left in shock over the tragic event. The Fairview Township Police Department is working diligently to piece together the circumstances surrounding this incident.
