Ace Frehley of Kiss Dies Following Fall Injuries at 72
Ace Frehley, the original lead guitarist and founding member of the iconic glam rock band Kiss, has died at the age of 72. An autopsy conducted by the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office in New Jersey confirmed that Frehley’s death resulted from blunt force injuries to the head sustained in a fall earlier this year. His agent reported that he passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023, surrounded by family in Morristown, New Jersey. The investigation determined that his death was accidental.
Kiss: A Legacy of Theatrical Rock
Known for their extravagant stage performances featuring fireworks, smoking instruments, and dramatic theatrics, Kiss revolutionized the rock music scene in the 1970s. The band members became famous for their unique personas, characterized by body armor, platform boots, wigs, and their signature black-and-white face paint.
