Duren’s 31 Points Propel Pistons to 10th Straight Win Over Pacers
UPDATE: Jalen Duren returned from injury with a stunning 31 points, leading the Detroit Pistons to their 10th consecutive win by defeating the struggling Indiana Pacers 127-112 on November 17, 2025. This victory marks the Pistons’ longest winning streak since their remarkable 11-game run in the 2007-08 season.
The Pistons showcased resilience, overcoming the absence of key players like Cade Cunningham (hip), Tobias Harris (ankle), and Ausar Thompson (ankle). Meanwhile, the Pacers, currently the worst team in the NBA with a record of 1-13, extended their losing streak to eight games.
Detroit’s success was a team effort, as Daniss Jenkins added 26 points and ten players contributed to the scoreboard. Notable performances included Javonte Green with 20 points off the bench and Duncan Robinson, who scored 13 points, including three critical 3-pointers that helped secure the lead early in the game.
The Pistons seized control of the match in the first quarter, taking a lead they would not relinquish after Robinson’s three-pointer with seven minutes left. The Pacers fought back briefly but trailed by five points entering the second quarter.
In a decisive second period, Detroit unleashed a 20-4 run, driven by Duren’s scoring prowess, which pushed their lead to 21 points. Although Indiana attempted a comeback, highlighted by Andrew Nembhard’s three-pointer that cut the deficit to 46-39, the Pistons responded with a strong finish to the half, ending it with a 62-46 advantage.
Despite a spirited second-half effort from the Pacers, who outscored Detroit 56-55 in the final two quarters, it was not enough to halt the Pistons’ momentum. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 29 points, while Benedict Mathurin added 25 points. Indiana now sits at 0-8 on the road, deepening their woes.
What’s Next? The Pacers will look to turn their season around as they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. The Pistons, riding high on their winning streak, will host the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
This thrilling matchup not only highlights the Pistons’ rising performance but starkly contrasts the Pacers’ difficulties, making this game a must-watch for NBA fans. Stay tuned for more updates as the season unfolds!
