Netflix House Launches in Dallas with Immersive Experiences
Netflix has officially opened its new venue, the Netflix House, at Galleria Dallas on December 11, 2023. This innovative space offers fans a unique opportunity to engage with some of their favorite shows and movies from the streaming giant. Spanning over 100,000 square feet, the Netflix House serves as a permanent exhibit that features immersive, story-driven experiences based on popular titles such as Wednesday, Squid Game, One Piece, Stranger Things, and the A Knives Out Mystery franchise.
Dallas becomes only the second city in the United States to host a Netflix House, following the opening in Philadelphia. Prior to the public launch, a VIP event was held on December 9, where media, influencers, and local celebrities were invited to preview the offerings. Notable attendees included David Harbour and Cara Buono from Stranger Things, as well as actors from Virgin River and local Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.
Immersive Experiences Await Visitors
The Netflix House is designed to captivate fans. Visitors are greeted by a grand staircase adorned with artwork referencing various shows, making it an ideal backdrop for photos. Admission to the venue is free, but the experience rooms, specifically Stranger Things: Escape the Dark and Squid Game: Survive the Trials, carry a fee of $39 per person per room. Each experience lasts approximately one hour, allowing fans to step directly into the worlds of their favorite series.
In the Squid Game room, participants can engage in five games, including the iconic Red Light, Green Light. The Stranger Things experience invites guests on a search-and-rescue mission to find three missing individuals, enhancing the thrill of the popular series.
Diverse Dining and Entertainment Options
Once inside, the main area is home to Netflix Bites, a full-service restaurant and bar offering a menu inspired by various Netflix productions. Featured dishes include Red Bite and Green Bite, along with Emily’s Italian Fling Salad for fans of Emily in Paris, and Huntr/x Power Up Ssam, a grilled pork dish appealing to K-Pop enthusiasts.
In another section, Netflix RePLAY offers arcade-style games reimagined with a Netflix twist. Visitors can compete in interactive games, including a tug-of-war inspired by Squid Game, a Bridgerton-themed ball maze, and a game based on the classic Floor Is Lava challenge.
To complete the experience, a dedicated gift shop features an array of merchandise, including T-shirts, cups, keychains, posters, and replica props from Netflix’s most popular properties.
The launch of Netflix House comes at a time when the company is reportedly exploring potential expansion opportunities, including a possible deal to acquire Warner Bros. Pictures. Such developments could pave the way for future attractions incorporating characters and imagery from franchises like DC Comics and Casablanca, further enriching the visitor experience.
As Netflix House in Dallas opens its doors, it represents a significant step in the company’s strategy to create immersive environments that deepen fan engagement with its vast content library.
