The Christmas Night Opera Gala will take place at Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 27, 2025, featuring an impressive lineup of acclaimed artists. Produced by Winstag Production OÜ, the event aims to establish a new holiday tradition by bringing together six of the world’s leading opera stars: Sondra Radvanovsky, Thomas Hampson, Asmik Grigorian, Nadine Sierra, Brian Jagde, and Anita Monserrat. The concert will be conducted by Francesco Lanzillotta, leading the American Symphony Orchestra.

The evening’s program will showcase a selection of overtures and arias from renowned operas. The concert opens with pieces from Rossini’s “Guillaume Tell” and Ambroise Thomas’s “Mignon,” setting the stage for a rich musical experience. Attendees can expect to hear selections from classic works including “Rusalka,” “Il trovatore,” “Macbeth,” “Tannhäuser,” “I vespri siciliani,” “Lakmé,” “Rigoletto,” “Candide,” “La traviata,” “La Cenerentola,” and “Andrea Chénier.”

In a statement, producer Eugene Wintour-Irverstag expressed the personal significance of the gala. He stated, “Opera has the extraordinary ability to hold the fullness of the human experience—love and longing, joy and hope—in a single breath. To bring these artists together for the first time in America, and to do so at Christmas, is a reminder that music connects us far beyond circumstance. It is a shared language of feeling, and a celebration of what we can create together.”

This gala not only promises to deliver a captivating performance but also aims to resonate deeply with audiences during the festive season. By uniting these distinguished artists, the Christmas Night Opera Gala is poised to become a cherished event in New York’s cultural calendar.

As the countdown to December 2025 begins, opera enthusiasts can anticipate an exceptional evening that celebrates the beauty and power of music during one of the most joyous times of the year.
