Galloway to Host Free Women’s Self-Defense Seminar This Fall
The Galloway Township Police Department is set to host a free Women’s Self-Defense Seminar this November, responding to numerous community requests. Partnering with Tap House Jiu Jitsu, the seminar aims to empower local women by teaching practical self-defense techniques. The event is open to all women aged 18 and older who live, work, or attend school in Galloway Township.
This engaging 90-minute seminar will focus on real-world self-defense strategies in a supportive environment. Participants can expect hands-on instruction from experienced instructors at Tap House Jiu Jitsu, who will guide attendees through effective techniques that can enhance personal safety. The primary goal is to cultivate confidence and awareness while equipping women with skills that could prove invaluable in various situations.
Empowerment Through Practical Training
The seminar promises to be an energetic experience, distinct from traditional lecture formats. Attendees will be encouraged to dress comfortably in athletic or athleisure wear, allowing for movement during the session. Whether participants have prior martial arts experience or are complete beginners, they will leave feeling empowered and more secure in their ability to protect themselves.
Organizers emphasize the importance of community connection, inviting women to come together for this enriching experience. As spots are limited, interested individuals are urged to register promptly to secure their participation.
For registration, participants can visit the Galloway Township Police Department’s website or follow the link provided in their announcement. Questions can be directed to Tap House Jiu Jitsu at [email protected] or to Captain Mark D’Esposito of the Galloway Township Police Department at [email protected].
The seminar not only focuses on self-defense but also aims to foster a sense of community among participants. With the fall season approaching, this event represents an excellent opportunity for women to enhance their personal safety skills while enjoying a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
