During this landmark trip, 7 News reporters Taylor Epps and Pheben Kassahun accompanied the veterans, capturing their experiences and reflections. The mission not only celebrates the service of these women but also provides them with an opportunity to visit memorials dedicated to their sacrifices.
A Personal Connection to Service
Among the veterans is Rose Ann Nowadly Pagan, a U.S. Army Reserve veteran who served as the company commander of the 277th Quartermaster in Niagara Falls. She expressed her emotional reaction upon receiving the call to join the mission. “To be a part of that and to be honored is just so overwhelming,” Nowadly Pagan said. Her participation signifies a profound connection to her fellow veterans and the shared experiences that bind them.
Nowadly Pagan highlighted the importance of connecting with other service members during the trip. She noted that visiting the memorials would allow her and her peers to reflect on their shared history and honor their contributions to the nation.
Significance of the Mission
