The 16th Annual “Broadway Belts for PFF!” will take place on March 9, 2026, at SONY Hall in New York City, featuring a live virtual stream for audiences across the nation. Hosted by Julie Halston, a Tony Award-winning actress and advocate for pulmonary fibrosis, the event aims to raise funds and awareness for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF).

The evening will showcase a lineup of talented performers, including Daniel Emmet, a renowned vocalist known for his appearances on “America’s Got Talent.” Other artists are expected to be announced as the date approaches. This annual fundraiser supports more than 250,000 Americans living with pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive and life-threatening lung disease with no known cure.

In her commitment to this cause, Halston reflected on her personal connection to pulmonary fibrosis. “Every year, Broadway Belts for PFF! brings the theater community and patients together for an unforgettable night with a powerful purpose,” she stated. Halston lost her husband, esteemed broadcaster Ralph Howard, to the disease. “I carry Ralph’s memory with me every day, and I am honored to stand with this community to raise funds, raise voices, and move us closer to a cure.”

The upcoming gala will unite Broadway veterans, emerging talents, patients, caregivers, and supporters to fund essential research and education initiatives related to pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease (ILD).

Emmet, who gained fame as a top contender on “America’s Got Talent” in 2018, has since established himself in the music industry. He has performed on significant platforms such as PBS and “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Currently, he tours with David Foster, a 16-time Grammy winner, and is known for his performances with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Scott Staszak, President and CEO of the PFF, emphasized the significance of the event. “Broadway Belts is joy with impact. The funds raised accelerate research, improve care, and elevate the patient voice,” he explained. Staszak expressed gratitude to Halston, Emmet, sponsors, and the creative team for their contributions to the event.

The production of “Broadway Belts for PFF!” is directed by Carl Andress, with Christopher McGovern serving as Musical Director. The benefit is produced for the sixteenth consecutive year by D. Michael Dvorchak, Ed Windels, Sue Frost, and Halston herself.

For those interested in attending, tickets for the event are anticipated to sell out quickly. Interested parties can secure their seats by visiting BroadwayBeltsforPFF.org. The event will also be streamed virtually for those unable to attend in person.

The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is dedicated to accelerating research, empowering the community, and transforming care for individuals affected by pulmonary fibrosis. With a four-star rating from Charity Navigator and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance, the PFF continues to strive towards its ultimate goal: finding a cure for pulmonary fibrosis. This year’s “Broadway Belts for PFF!” promises to be a night of inspiration, music, and heartfelt fundraising, uniting the arts and advocacy in a meaningful way.
