Central Texas High School Football Playoffs: Key Matchups This Week
UPDATE: Nine Central Texas high school football teams are set to clash in the third round of the UIL state playoffs this week, creating an electrifying atmosphere for fans and players alike. Among the teams advancing are the defending Class 6A Division II state champion Vandegrift and the seasoned powerhouse Lake Travis, both gearing up for crucial matchups on November 10, 2023.
Vandegrift cruised past San Antonio Brandeis with a convincing score of 37-7, solidifying their status as a team to beat. In a nail-biter, Lake Travis edged out San Antonio Brennan, triumphing 13-7 thanks to a remarkable defensive display. Other Austin-area teams that have advanced include Dripping Springs, Weiss, Bastrop, San Marcos, Wimberley, Llano, and Granger.
