Sally J. Ifkovits, 62, Passes Away Surrounded by Family
URGENT UPDATE: Sally J. Ifkovits, aged 62, of Northampton, has passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. This heartfelt loss is felt deeply by her husband, Michael J. Ifkovits, with whom she celebrated 37 years of marriage.
Born on January 27, 1963, in Allentown, Sally was the daughter of the late Fred H. and Marion J. (Siegfried) Rex. She dedicated over 32 years to serving her community at People First Federal Credit Union, where she made significant contributions as a member services manager and later as the card and ATM operations manager.
Her family was her greatest treasure, particularly her grandson, Paxton, who brought immense joy to her life. Sally is survived by her two sons, Riley and his wife Kelly, as well as Alex and his wife Anna. She also leaves behind brothers Keith Rex and Kevin Rex (with Karen), sister Susie Weber (with Harold), and numerous nieces and nephews, including Kristin, Hunter, Jessica, Lauren, Katherine, Avery, Andrew, and Aaron. She was predeceased by her sister Jane and niece Adrienne.
A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 2nd, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Reichel Funeral Home, located at 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the same location. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Northampton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley in her memory. Online condolences may be offered at www.reichelfuneralhome.com.
