UPDATE: A Somali migrant, Abdimahat Bille Mohamed, is facing federal charges linked to a series of rapes after being sentenced to probation by state courts. The U.S. Justice Department announced the charges, including kidnapping a minor, in connection with at least five incidents occurring between 2017 and 2025.

Earlier today, officials confirmed that Mohamed, who had previously been convicted twice for state rape charges, was allowed to walk free on probation. His actions have now prompted federal authorities to step in. Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed that Mohamed, now 28 years old, had committed a horrific rape of a child in 2017 and another rape in 2024.

During a recent appearance on “Fox and Friends,” Bondi stated,

“He’s convicted in state court of both rapes. They let him walk out the door on probation. Double rapist. Pled to ‘em, walked out the door.”

As investigations progress, authorities are focusing on Mohamed’s DNA, which is being analyzed for connections to other unsolved rape cases. Bondi emphasized the importance of this new federal case, saying,

“We’re finding out that all these criminals around the country were not properly prosecuted by liberal state courts.”

In response to revelations about rampant fraud linked to illegal immigrants from Somalia—amounting to at least $1 billion, some of which allegedly benefits the terrorist group Al-Shabaab—U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is ramping up operations in the Minneapolis area.

Democratic Governor Tim Walz acknowledged the challenges while urging against the demonization of Somali residents, stating,

“We attract criminals,”

during an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Authorities are expected to unveil additional charges against Mohamed as investigations continue. Bondi hinted at more developments, stating,

“I can tell you there are more charges to come.”

The situation underscores a broader issue of inadequate prosecution in state courts and the need for federal intervention. As this disturbing case unfolds, many are calling for accountability and reform in the justice system.

Stay tuned for updates as this developing story continues to evolve.
