HigherDOSE Launches Innovative PEMF Pet Bed Targeting Pet Wellness
HigherDOSE has officially entered the pet wellness market, unveiling its first product designed specifically for animals: the Infrared PEMF Pet Bed. This innovative bed taps into the growing $150 billion industry, which has seen increased consumer interest in products that promote pet health and longevity.
The launch is a significant step for HigherDOSE, a brand recognized for revolutionizing at-home wellness tech with products like the Infrared Sauna Blanket and PEMF Mat. Co-founders Lauren Berlingeri and Katie Kaps have extended their biohacking approach to include the well-being of pets, responding to a visible demand from their community.
“The expansion into pet wellness happened very organically,” Berlingeri stated. Customers frequently shared images of their dogs enjoying HigherDOSE products, leading to requests for a pet-specific version. This feedback prompted the team to conduct extensive research on veterinary applications of PEMF technology.
The development process for the Pet Bed spanned 18 months. The team collaborated with veterinarians to ensure the product was safe and effective for pets. The final design includes features aimed at enhancing durability and comfort.
Innovative Features for Pet Health
The Infrared PEMF Pet Bed is available in Small and Large sizes, priced at $599 and $749, respectively. It incorporates low-EMF output, a chew-resistant cord, and medical-grade non-toxic materials. Safety was a primary consideration, with features designed to protect pets during use.
Berlingeri noted, “Our consulting veterinarians emphasized temperature regulation and safety features to ensure peace of mind for pet owners.” The technology combines infrared heat, which pets find comforting, with six levels of PEMF frequencies designed to promote healing and relaxation.
Kaps described PEMF as a holistic approach to wellness, stating, “Animals tend to respond to it instinctively.” The Pet Bed aims to alleviate pain, support recovery, and improve overall well-being, while also providing warmth and comfort that pets naturally seek.
A Growing Market for Pet Wellness
The launch of the Pet Bed positions HigherDOSE alongside other health and wellness brands venturing into the pet sector. Kaps highlighted a shift in consumer behavior, noting that today’s pet owners are increasingly seeking functional products that contribute to their pets’ long-term health.
“Pet wellness is the next frontier in longevity,” Kaps explained. As the first biohacking brand to integrate PEMF therapy for pets, HigherDOSE aims to deliver the same benefits that have resonated with its human customers.
With PEMF-related sales already increasing by 25 percent year-over-year, Kaps anticipates that the introduction of the Pet Bed will further elevate this growth to 30 percent. This new offering aligns with the brand’s vision of creating a holistic wellness environment for both humans and pets.
The company’s commitment to pet wellness extends beyond product offerings. HigherDOSE has partnered with Bark Air, a luxury pet travel service, to provide complimentary “DOSE Sessions” for dogs in airport terminals starting from December 1, 2023. Additionally, HigherDOSE plans to donate $10,000 from holiday sales to Wags + Walks, a nonprofit focused on dog rescue and adoption.
As HigherDOSE continues to explore the potential of pet wellness, Kaps emphasized the brand’s mission: “We believe the future of pet wellness moves from reactive care to proactive longevity. It’s about helping pets age better, not just live longer.”
Berlingeri added that the Pet Bed could transform the conversation around pet care, reinforcing HigherDOSE’s evolution into a comprehensive longevity brand for every household member.
