Lovet Pet Health Care Expands with Fourth Clinic in Grand Rapids
Lovet Pet Health Care has officially opened its fourth veterinary clinic in West Michigan, located at 1935 Breton Road SE in Grand Rapids. This expansion follows the successful launch of its first clinic in Standale in April 2023, where veterinarians have already treated over 2,200 pets and welcomed 1,900 new pet owners.
The Arizona-based company has continued its growth trajectory by opening two additional facilities: one at 3500 Alpine Ave NW in Walker and another at 2135 E Beltline Ave NE in Grand Rapids since mid-October. This rapid expansion highlights the increasing demand for veterinary services in the region.
Addressing Cost Barriers and Community Engagement
According to Courtney Gruber, President of Lovet Pet Health Care, Grand Rapids has emerged as one of the company’s most vibrant markets. She noted, “That deep connection is exactly why we’re continuing to expand here: to make high-quality, compassionate veterinary care easier to access for every pet-loving family in West Michigan.”
Lovet’s 2025 Checkup Report revealed that approximately 86% of pet owners across the United States and 87% in Michigan believe having a pet positively impacts their mental and emotional well-being. However, the report also indicated that 44% of Michigan pet owners have delayed or skipped necessary veterinary care due to rising costs. Lovet aims to mitigate these financial barriers through various cost-saving solutions.
In an effort to promote accessible care, Lovet offers a free first exam for all new clients. The company is also actively hiring veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff across its four West Michigan locations, creating approximately 50 local jobs. Interested candidates can apply via careers.lovet.com.
Community Initiatives and Partnerships
As part of its commitment to community engagement, Lovet partnered with the Humane Society of West Michigan to sponsor the pet first aid tent at the recent Humane Hustle 5K & Walk. This event encouraged pet owners to build their own first aid kits, aligning with Lovet’s mission to enhance pet care education and preparedness for families in West Michigan.
Originally known as AZPetVet, Lovet Pet Health Care began as a network of 23 animal hospitals in and around Phoenix, Arizona. The organization has since expanded its footprint to include locations in Chicago and now Grand Rapids, reflecting its commitment to providing compassionate veterinary care across multiple regions.
