UPDATE: The Golden State Warriors are set to welcome back star guard Stephen Curry this Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Curry, sidelined with a thigh contusion, is expected to play after a successful return to practice.

Curry missed the Warriors’ recent three-game road trip to rest and receive treatment in San Francisco. “It’s looking good,” Kerr stated, indicating optimism about Curry’s recovery. He underwent a full practice session today, participating in all contact drills and a six-minute scrimmage without any issues.

The Warriors have struggled in Curry’s absence, going 2-3 while he sat out the last five games. Currently, the team holds a 13-12 record, but they are riding a wave of momentum after winning their last two games on the road against Cleveland and Chicago.

Both the Warriors’ offense and defense are showing signs of life. They have held four of their last five opponents below 100 points and boast the third-best defensive rating in the NBA, a crucial factor as they prepare to face the Timberwolves.

In another development, forward Draymond Green is also expected to return to practice Thursday following a personal absence. He missed the last two games due to a foot sprain but could be in the lineup against Minnesota. Meanwhile, veteran center Al Horford is not anticipated to play due to ongoing issues with sciatica.

With Curry’s return looming, the Warriors aim to capitalize on their recent success and bolster their playoff hopes. Friday’s game is critical for the team as they look to regain their footing in the competitive Western Conference.

As the game approaches, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how Curry’s comeback will influence the Warriors’ performance in this pivotal matchup.
