Urgent: Man Shot Dead in South Sacramento, 33rd Homicide of 2023
UPDATE: A man was shot and killed in south Sacramento just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday night, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Officers rushed to the scene on Meadowview Road near 24th Street following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene. This tragic incident marks the 33rd homicide in Sacramento this year, signaling a concerning trend in violence within the city.
