Demi Engemann Accused of Leaking Rival’s Affair for Pay Raise
Demi Engemann, a star of the reality series *Mormon Wives*, faces allegations from fellow cast member Marciano Brunette regarding her role in leaking details of a rival’s affair to producers. According to Brunette, Engemann disclosed information about her former friend Jessi Ngatikaura‘s extramarital involvement to enhance her own contract negotiations with Hulu.
In an exclusive interview with *The U.S. Sun*, Brunette claimed that Engemann, 30, aimed to secure a higher salary by exposing Ngatikaura’s affair with her husband, Jordan. This revelation reportedly came after the cast’s visit to Lisa Vanderpump‘s villa in Italy during the summer of 2024, which was filmed for the series *Vanderpump Villa*. Brunette noted that the fallout from these events impacted all parties involved.
Brunette, 32, recounted his experiences with both women, mentioning a brief kiss with Ngatikaura, 33, which she later described as part of an “emotional affair.” He initially misrepresented their encounter, claiming they had sex, but later admitted to lying under pressure from Engemann. This led to tension and blame after the truth came out.
During their conversation, Brunette felt compelled to share details about his relationship with Ngatikaura, but he claimed Engemann misrepresented his words to the production team. He stated, “She ended up going to production, even though she PROMISED me she would not.” Brunette believes this move was part of Engemann’s strategy to enhance her storyline and secure a better contract.
Contract Negotiations and Fallout
According to Brunette, Engemann’s tactics did not yield the desired results. Instead of a raise, the production team opted to bring Brunette back, effectively sidelining Engemann. “It didn’t work out for her,” he stated. “They just called me and brought me in instead of paying her. So it backfired on her again.”
Brunette expressed regret about the situation, recognizing the damage his initial lie caused to Ngatikaura and her marriage. He emphasized his concern for her well-being, stating, “I knew I cared a lot about Jessi and I knew that it was going to be damaging to her.” He acknowledged the need for accountability, indicating he could not feel comfortable without owning his part in the drama.
Ngatikaura supported Brunette’s claims, highlighting the irony of Engemann’s outrage over her own private life being revealed when she had previously exposed Ngatikaura’s affair to the producers. “Demi’s upset that I’m outing her bedroom activities when she took my affair to production to leverage more money?” Ngatikaura remarked.
Legal Threats and Denials
In a further twist, Brunette mentioned he is considering legal action against Engemann for allegations she made earlier this year, in which she accused him of sexual assault during their trip to Italy. Brunette has vehemently denied these claims. Lisa Vanderpump has publicly defended Brunette, asserting that any alleged misconduct would have been captured on camera.
As of now, Hulu has not issued a public statement regarding the ongoing controversy or the allegations surrounding Engemann and Brunette. The unfolding drama between these reality stars continues to attract attention, shedding light on the competitive nature of reality television and the lengths to which individuals may go to secure their positions.
