Vanderbilt University has announced the induction of 14 former student-athletes and administrators into its prestigious Athletics Hall of Fame. This year’s class spans eight different sports, recognizing individuals who have significantly contributed to Vanderbilt’s reputation in collegiate athletics. The official induction ceremony is scheduled for February 20, 2025.

Among those being honored are athletes and administrators who have set records and made lasting impacts on the history of Vanderbilt athletics. This recognition not only celebrates their achievements but also highlights their roles in shaping the university’s athletic programs.

In addition to the Hall of Fame announcements, Vanderbilt’s athletic teams have garnered attention for their performances on the field. The No. 13 Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will face Texas Southern on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. CT, while the No. 13 men’s basketball team is set to compete against Wake Forest on Sunday at the same time. Both games will be broadcast on SEC Network+ and CW Network, respectively.

In football, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and tight end Eli Stowers have received significant accolades. Both players were named to The Sporting News’ first-team All-America team, marking a historic moment as it is the first time two Commodores have achieved this recognition in the same season. Pavia finished as the runner-up for the prestigious Heisman Trophy, while Stowers won the John Mackey Award for his outstanding performance.

As the college football postseason approaches, Vanderbilt is preparing to take on No. 23 Iowa in the ReliaQuest Bowl on December 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. CT. This matchup showcases the strength of Vanderbilt’s football program as it continues to gain national recognition.
