Driver Injured in Two-Car Collision in Fillmore County

A two-car crash in Fillmore County, Minnesota, resulted in an injury on Saturday night, December 27, 2023. The incident occurred around 22:52 local time on U.S. Highway 52 near Canton Township, involving an alcohol-impaired driver.

According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2014 GMC Sierra, driven by Daniel L. Yoder, 22, from Mabel, Minnesota, was traveling north when it collided with a 2015 Ford Fusion heading south. The impact of the crash injured the driver of the Ford, a 17-year-old male, who was subsequently transported to Winnmed Hospital-Iowa. His current condition remains unknown.

Yoder and his passenger, a 24-year-old male from Harmony, Minnesota, did not require medical attention following the incident. The State Patrol’s report indicated that Yoder had consumed alcohol prior to the collision.
