Apollon Wealth Management Reduces Stake in iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF

Apollon Wealth Management LLC has significantly reduced its stake in the iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF (BATS: EZU), trimming its position by 81.4% during the third quarter of 2023. According to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm now holds 4,490 shares of the ETF, following the sale of 19,657 shares during the period. As of the latest disclosure, Apollon’s total investment in the iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF is valued at approximately $278,000.

Several other institutional investors have also adjusted their positions in the ETF. In the first quarter of 2023, the Royal Bank of Canada increased its holdings by 9.6%, now owning 678,135 shares valued at about $36.1 million after acquiring an additional 59,169 shares. Focus Partners Advisor Solutions LLC entered the market with a new position worth $294,000, while Amundi established a stake valued at $606,000.

Moreover, Millennium Management LLC made a significant move by purchasing a new stake worth $7.23 million, and NewEdge Advisors LLC raised its investment by an impressive 240.9%, now holding 24,053 shares worth about $1.28 million after acquiring 16,998 shares.

Market Performance and Overview

As of September 30, 2023, shares of the iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF opened at $64.98, reflecting a strong performance with a 36.2% increase year-to-date. The ETF has a fifty-day simple moving average of $62.97 and a two-hundred-day average of $61.25. With a market capitalization of $8.87 billion and a price-to-earnings ratio of 16.35, the ETF has shown resilience in the market, despite a 12-month low of $46.02 and a high of $61.45.

The iShares MSCI Eurozone ETF aims to provide investment results that correspond generally to the performance of publicly traded securities in the European Monetary Union (EMU) markets. It tracks the MSCI EMU Index, which measures the performance of equity markets in EMU member countries that have adopted the Euro as their currency.
