FDOT Invites Community Input on Jacksonville Intersection Upgrades
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is actively seeking community feedback regarding potential enhancements to the intersection of Dunn Avenue (State Road 104) and Braddock Road in Jacksonville. An in-person meeting is scheduled for October 11, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Highlands Regional Library. Following the initial gathering, a presentation and public comment period will commence at 6:00 p.m.
During the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to engage directly with the project team, view informational displays, and provide their input on the proposed improvements. The FDOT’s Northeast Florida division emphasizes the importance of community involvement in shaping transportation projects that affect local neighborhoods.
For those unable to attend the meeting in person, a virtual option is available. The online session will also take place on October 11, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., aligning with the in-person schedule. Participants interested in joining the virtual meeting are required to register in advance. A registration link has been provided by FDOT Northeast Florida, allowing residents to submit their feedback and participate in discussions regarding the intersection upgrades.
This initiative represents a proactive approach by FDOT to enhance safety and accessibility at a crucial junction in Jacksonville. Community feedback will play a vital role in determining the direction of these proposed improvements, ensuring that the needs and concerns of local residents are addressed.
Residents are encouraged to take part in this process, whether in person or online, to ensure their voices are heard regarding the future of the Dunn Avenue and Braddock Road intersection.
