Dogecoin (DOGE) has experienced a significant decline, dropping by 10.48% recently and reaching a low of $0.088. This bearish trend has persisted, with Dogecoin recording lower lows for three consecutive sessions. It faced rejection at a resistance level of $0.106 and has fallen below its short-term EMA20 at $0.098, indicating a strengthening bearish momentum. The current price stands at $0.089.

Declining Activity and Investor Sentiment

A notable decrease in Dogecoin’s on-chain transactions has been a key factor contributing to its downward trajectory. Data from Santiment highlights a sharp decline in Daily Active Addresses (DAA), which plummeted by 78.34% year-over-year, falling from 87,700 to 28,000 in February 2026. This suggests a significant exit of investors from the market, correlating closely with Dogecoin’s current bearish trend. The Price DAA Divergence has also dropped to its lowest level of -46% in two months, emphasizing a lack of adoption, which is critical for any upward movement in price.

In addition to declining transaction activity, the overall market sell-off has compounded selling pressure on Dogecoin. Futures market data indicates a surge in outflows, with Dogecoin experiencing $736 million in outflows compared to $659 million in inflows. This has resulted in a 418% increase in the overall Futures Netflow, now reported at – $77.39 million. Such figures reflect growing investor anxiety and a heightened propensity to sell amidst fears of losing capital.

Market Dynamics and Future Outlook

The liquidation rate has also escalated, with $6.5 million in long positions liquidated, including $3.3 million in just the last few hours. Spot market activity shows that the sell volume has surged to 976.75 million, while buy volume sits at 928 million, resulting in a negative Buy Delta of -48 million.

As the selling pressure intensifies, Dogecoin’s negative Directional Movement Index (DMI) has risen to 54, while the positive DMI has decreased to 28. Should the prevailing market conditions continue, Dogecoin could see its price dip further, potentially reaching the $0.080 mark. Conversely, for any reversal in trend, Dogecoin must break through its short-term moving averages, notably the 20- and 50-EMAs, and aim for a recovery to the $0.10 threshold.

The current situation presents a challenging landscape for Dogecoin, driven by fundamental weaknesses and increased market volatility. Investors and analysts will be closely monitoring these developments to gauge the future trajectory of this popular cryptocurrency.
