Planet Financial Group, LLC, a prominent financial services company based in Meriden, Connecticut, reported substantial growth across its operations in 2025. The firm achieved a remarkable origination volume of approximately $28.6 billion, marking a year-over-year increase of around 58%. This growth highlights the effectiveness of Planet’s integrated multichannel platform, which encompasses origination, servicing, sub-servicing, and asset management.

Michael Dubeck, the CEO and President of Planet Financial Group, emphasized the company’s disciplined approach to scaling its servicing while enhancing borrower engagement. “Planet generated meaningful origination growth while continuing to scale servicing in a disciplined way, underscoring the reliability of our multichannel approach,” Dubeck stated. His remarks reflect the company’s strategy to adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining performance consistency.

Origination Growth and Market Expansion

In 2025, Planet’s correspondent lending segment funded approximately $24.6 billion, a nearly 58% increase from the previous year. The company’s commitment to improving correspondent efficiency and execution contributed significantly to this growth, as enhanced co-issuance and eNote delivery capabilities played a pivotal role.

Retail retention also saw impressive results, with funding reaching approximately $2.5 billion, representing a year-over-year growth of nearly 52%. The company utilized data-driven analytics to improve borrower engagement and retention, leading to successful recapture rates. Additionally, the distributed retail segment funded around $1.4 billion, up approximately 65% from the prior year, aided by branch expansion and targeted marketing strategies.

These results underscore the effectiveness of Planet’s diversified production model, demonstrating its ability to achieve growth responsibly across multiple channels.

Servicing Portfolio and Recognition

Planet’s servicing portfolio expanded to $144.8 billion by year-end, reflecting a 21% increase compared to the previous year. The company’s owned mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) grew to $138.5 billion, driven by elevated origination volumes, above-market retention recapture, and strategic bulk MSR acquisitions.

Planet’s commitment to disciplined portfolio management and consistent borrower engagement has been recognized within the industry. In February 2025, Fannie Mae honored Planet with a Servicer Total Achievement and Rewards™ award for its servicing excellence. Furthermore, S&P Global Ratings rated Planet as Above Average for residential primary servicing and Average for residential special servicing, both with stable outlooks, reflecting the company’s strong leadership and robust operational metrics.

The commercial servicing platform also experienced growth, ending the year with approximately $809.7 million in assets under management, representing a 28% increase from the prior year. This growth validates Planet’s capability to manage complex asset classes such as single-family rentals and small-balance commercial loans.

Strategic Leadership and Corporate Recognition

To support its continued growth, Planet Financial Group has made significant investments in leadership, hiring key personnel across various sectors including correspondent sales, capital markets, and operations. These strategic hires are expected to enhance the company’s capabilities and support its ambitious growth trajectory.

In addition to its business achievements, Planet has garnered recognition for its workplace culture. The company received the Top Workplaces USA and Top Workplaces Financial Services honors, reflecting its commitment to employee engagement and experience. Planet also demonstrated its corporate responsibility by partnering with the National Forest Foundation to plant 75,000 trees, emphasizing its dedication to environmental stewardship and community impact.

Dubeck concluded, “As we look ahead, Planet’s foundation remains strong. By focusing on disciplined growth, operational excellence, partnership, and active risk management, we believe our platform is well positioned to deliver durable performance in the year ahead.”

Planet Financial Group continues to demonstrate its capacity for growth and resilience in a competitive market, positioning itself as a leader in the financial services industry.
