Lawmaker Predicts ‘Jailbreak’ Vote on Epstein Files Coming Soon
UPDATE: In a stunning revelation, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has claimed that a significant number of Republican lawmakers are poised to flip on Donald Trump regarding the release of Jeffrey Epstein files. During an interview on MSNBC with Ali Velshi late Thursday night, Swalwell suggested that when the House reconvenes, an overwhelming bipartisan vote is imminent.
Swalwell disclosed that discussions with his GOP colleagues indicate a growing urgency to address the Epstein scandal, which he described as the “Epstein shutdown.” He underscored the pressure from constituents, stating, “All they’re doing is delaying the inevitable with Epstein because that vote is coming.”
The California Democrat revealed a startling prediction from a Republican colleague. “He told me that when that vote happens, it’s going to be what they call a, quote, ‘jailbreak,’ right?” Swalwell stated. “He said you will see over 100 Republican members vote for it.”
This anticipated vote could mark a pivotal moment in the political landscape as lawmakers grapple with the fallout from the Epstein scandal. The pressure is mounting, and constituents are demanding transparency, pushing lawmakers into action. “Because they know that their constituents are demanding it, so it’s all coming out,” Swalwell affirmed.
As the House prepares to welcome newly-elected Rep. Adelia Grijalva (D-AZ) and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) calls the House back into session, the urgency around the Epstein files is palpable. This developing situation highlights the shifting dynamics within the House, as both parties may find common ground on this contentious issue.
Stay tuned for updates as this story unfolds, and watch for the official call to vote that could change the course of the Epstein investigation and reshape the political landscape. The implications of this potential “jailbreak” are significant, and the nation is watching closely as Congress prepares for a pivotal moment.
