Jingle Ball Returns to Madison Square Garden This December
The iconic iHeartRadio Z100’s Jingle Ball is making its much-anticipated return to Madison Square Garden for its 29th year on December 12, 2023, at 19:00. This annual holiday concert promises to showcase the biggest names in pop music, celebrating the most popular songs of the year.
Mark Adams, Program Director for Z100, expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “Z100’s Jingle Ball is New York City’s iconic holiday concert. Few events capture the spirit of the holiday season like Jingle Ball.” This year’s lineup features a star-studded array of performers, including Alex Warren, Conan Gray, Ed Sheeran, and Nelly, among others.
The concert is presented by Capital One, and Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer of iHeartMedia, emphasized New York’s significance in the music industry. “Every artist from the day they pick up a guitar wants to play Madison Square Garden. It’s just that legendary event,” he remarked.
In addition to the headliners, other featured artists include Jessie Murph, BigXthaPlug, Laufey, MONSTA X, Myles Smith, Ravyn Lenae, Rene é Rapp, and Zara Larsson. The concert will also support a charitable cause, with $1.00 from each ticket sold going to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. This non-profit organization aims to inspire pediatric patients through entertainment and education-focused initiatives.
“Ryan Seacrest is a great person who loves to give back,” Poleman said. “He has these studios set up at hospitals across the country, and music is at the core of what he does at those hospitals. So it’s a natural fit that we would use Jingle Ball to support the cause.”
Jingle Ball has been a staple at Madison Square Garden since its inception in 1996. While the New York City event is a highlight, the concert series will also take place in other major cities, including Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and Miami. In these locations, Capital One cardholders can purchase a special Capital One Access Pass for exclusive access to a pre-show party featuring performances by Jingle Ball artists.
This year will introduce a unique feature: a special sing-along moment dedicated to the popular song by KPOP Demon Hunters. Given the song’s widespread popularity, this segment is expected to create a memorable atmosphere. “Their song is probably one of the most sung songs in households across America right now,” Poleman noted. He hinted at the possibility of special celebrity appearances during this segment.
