Serial Slasher Strikes Again: Three Brooklyn Attacks in 24 Hours
BREAKING: Authorities are on the hunt for a serial slasher following three unprovoked attacks in Brooklyn within just 24 hours. The first incident occurred on the morning of October 15, 2023, when the suspect attacked a 37-year-old man aboard a Manhattan-bound Q train at approximately 6:30 a.m. in Flatbush.
The victim was slashed on the left side of his face and managed to exit the train at Church Ave. to alert police. Meanwhile, the assailant continued his spree, attacking two more victims later that day.
At around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, the suspect struck again, slashing a 53-year-old man near Foster and New York Avenues, just a mile and a half from the first attack. The violence escalated early Sunday morning at 6:55 a.m., when a 56-year-old man was similarly attacked near Newkirk Ave. and New York Avenues, just a block away from the previous incident.
All three victims were rushed to Kings County Hospital where they are reported to be in stable condition. The New York Police Department (NYPD) has intensified its search in the Flatbush area, seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
Police describe the assailant as wearing a navy blue jacket, black shorts, and white sneakers. A surveillance image has been released, urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
These alarming incidents come on the heels of a recent subway stabbing on October 16, where a 30-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attacking another passenger during rush hour.
The NYPD is increasing patrols in the subway system as concerns grow over safety. With the community on edge, immediate action is needed to apprehend this suspect before further violence occurs.
