Ballot Mailing Deadline Passes; Voters Urged to Drop Off Ballots

The deadline for mailing ballots for the upcoming election on November 4, 2024, has officially passed as of Monday, according to Boulder County officials. Voters who have not yet mailed their ballots are encouraged to cast their votes in person at designated Voter Service and Polling Centers or to utilize one of the numerous 24-hour drop boxes available throughout the county.

Voters can find drop-off and polling locations in several towns including Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, and Superior. Those seeking specific information can access a comprehensive list of ballot drop-off and polling sites via the county’s election website.

Drop Box Locations Across Boulder County

In Lafayette, voters can visit the Southeast County Services Hub at 1755 S. Public Road for in-person voting. A 24-hour drop box is located at the Lafayette Public Library, situated at 775 W. Baseline Road.

In Louisville, the 24-hour drop box can be found at the Louisville Recreation Center, located at 900 W. Via Appia Way. Voters in Erie may utilize the drop box at Meadowlark School, found at 2300 Meadow Sweet Lane, specifically in the staff/bus parking lot off Front Range Road at Laramie Lane on the south side of the building.

For those in Superior, a 24-hour drop box is available at Superior Town Hall, located at 124 E. Coal Creek Drive.

Additional Voting Information

Voters still have the opportunity to register at any Voter Service and Polling Center. County staff members are available to issue replacement ballots, assist voters with disabilities, and provide services in Spanish. In-person voting requires a current photo ID, such as a Colorado driver’s license, as mandated by county regulations.

As the election approaches, Boulder County encourages all eligible voters to ensure their voices are heard by taking advantage of the available resources for casting their ballots.
