Kyle Richards Explores New Chapter in Sexuality at BravoCon
Kyle Richards, known for her role in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, recently shared her evolving perspective on sexuality during an interview at BravoCon. Speaking with Variety, Richards expressed that she is entering a new phase in her life where traditional labels do not apply. This revelation comes shortly after the release of the season 15 trailer, in which she humorously remarked, “I could go Brad, I could go Angelina,” prompting viewers to speculate about her romantic inclinations.
“I don’t like labels,” Richards stated. “I always had a type—tall, dark, and handsome—and that’s who I married. I am growing and evolving, and my mind has opened up. So I don’t know what the future holds now, and I’m fine with that.” Her remarks indicate a thoughtful and open-minded approach to her personal life, suggesting that she is embracing the possibilities ahead.
During the interview, the reporters from Variety identified themselves as lesbians, leading Richards to reflect on her past assumptions. “Ha! That would never have crossed my mind before, ever in my life, and now I’m like, that’s totally an option,” she noted, highlighting her journey of self-discovery.
Richards, who was married to Mauricio Umansky for 27 years before their separation in 2023, clarified that she is not currently dating or seeking a new relationship. “Whatever happens, happens. I’m actually really happy spending time alone,” she shared. This statement underscores her focus on self-exploration rather than immediate romantic pursuits.
The past year has been filled with intense speculation regarding her relationship with country singer Morgan Wade. Their collaboration on a music video in 2023 fueled rumors of a romantic connection, leading to numerous public sightings together. Despite the surrounding chatter, Richards stated that the most challenging aspect was opening up to her four daughters about her evolving views on relationships.
She previously admitted that the discussion with her daughters “terrified” her, but their supportive response left her feeling emotional and proud. “Seeing how they responded, I thought, ‘Maybe I did a good job,'” Richards reflected, emphasizing the importance of family and understanding in navigating personal growth.
As Richards embarks on this new chapter of her life, her candid comments resonate with many who are also exploring their identities. The conversation at BravoCon offers a glimpse into her journey and the broader dialogue about sexuality and acceptance in contemporary society.
