ECS Composites and ITI Engineering Enhance F-35 Mission Readiness
On January 6, 2026, ECS Composites, a leader in protective enclosure design and manufacturing, announced a significant advancement in its partnership with ITI Engineering. This collaboration aims to enhance mission readiness for the global operations of the F-35 fighter jet. As the F-35 expands its footprint among U.S. and allied forces, ensuring the reliability of its computing systems in various operational environments is paramount.
Strengthening Mission-Critical Technologies
ITI Engineering plays a crucial role by providing ruggedized server systems that power the F-35’s Maintenance and Combat Data Systems. These systems are essential for mission planning, daily operations, and long-term sustainment. The partnership between ECS Composites and ITI Engineering ensures that mission-critical technologies align with the rigorous demands of a fifth-generation fighter program.
Delivering these advanced systems globally necessitates an engineering partner adept in precision, production discipline, and innovation. ECS Composites excels in these areas, showcasing its capability through meticulous engineering and disciplined manufacturing processes. The collaboration exemplifies how aligned engineering efforts bolster mission readiness for the F-35.
“At ECS, we believe every enclosure we deliver must be ready to perform in the most demanding operational environments, from shipboard deployments to remote forward locations,” stated Sterling Becklin, Founder and Chairman of Becklin Holdings and President of ECS Composites. “Our collaboration with ITI ensures their mission-critical systems are supported by cases engineered to protect, perform, and enable success wherever the F-35 operates.”
Innovative Design for Global Deployment
Each ITI server is integrated into a carbon-fiber enclosure specifically engineered by ECS Composites. This design optimizes the systems for global deployment, balancing lightweight mobility with structural resilience and environmental hardening. ECS’s precision engineering includes purpose-built isolators and structural components, enabling ITI systems to meet the Defense Standardization Manual (DSSM) shipboard shock qualification—one of the most demanding naval readiness standards that simulates the impact of a torpedo strike.
Only a limited number of manufacturers achieve this benchmark, and ECS has consistently surpassed these rigorous standards. Becklin expressed his appreciation for the partnership, saying, “Working with the team at ITI has been awesome, and I’m grateful for their partnership. Their dedication, expertise, and professionalism make every project rewarding and successful. It’s been great to see the impact we can make together, and I can’t wait for our next collaboration.”
This partnership underscores ECS’s commitment to enhancing U.S. and allied mission capabilities, supporting warfighters, and ensuring the operational readiness of the F-35 fighter well into the 2030s.
