‘Emily in Paris’ Cast Changes: Who’s Back for Season 6?
The future of the beloved Netflix series *Emily in Paris* hangs in the balance as fans wonder about the cast’s return for a potential sixth season. Following a tumultuous fifth season, where character dynamics shifted significantly, several key players are expected to return, while others may not reprise their roles.
After a season filled with personal growth and romantic twists, lead character Emily, portrayed by Lily Collins, concluded the fifth season single but with an intriguing invitation from Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, to visit Greece. Despite his limited presence in season five due to creative differences, Bravo remains an essential part of the series, according to creator Darren Star. In an interview with Decider, Star noted, “The story line wasn’t about Emily and Gabriel… but it was great to have him and keep him in the world of the show.”
Cast Expectations for Season 6
Looking ahead, the potential sixth season may explore new locations, including Greece, as hinted by director Andrew Fleming. “Assuming we’re picked up, I want to go back to Paris. But I want to go other places too,” he stated in December 2025. The cliffhanger ending of season five has left viewers eager for more, particularly regarding Emily’s relationships.
Supporting character Sylvie, played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, is also anticipated to return after navigating a complex personal life in season five. Meanwhile, Mindy, portrayed by Ashley Park, had a tumultuous romantic arc with Alfie, leading to an engagement. Should the series continue, Mindy’s love triangle is likely to remain a focal point.
Fleming confirmed the intention to bring back Gabriel, emphasizing his importance to the show’s narrative. “When he and Emily are in a scene together, something undefinable happens. They have this chemistry,” he remarked, indicating that their interactions will continue to be pivotal in future seasons.
Another character of interest is Camille, played by Camille Razat, who announced her departure from the series in April 2025. Razat expressed gratitude for her time on the show but has left the door open for a potential return, stating, “I’m deeply grateful to Darren Star and the entire team at Netflix and Paramount for their trust.”
Alfie, played by Lucien Laviscount, is set to return as a series regular after a brief shift to recurring status due to scheduling conflicts. His relationship with Mindy will undoubtedly be tested as the series progresses. Similarly, Paul Forman’s character, Nicolas De Leon, is expected to be back following his proposal to Mindy in season five.
Eugenio Franceschini is also likely to return despite Emily’s romance with his character, Marcello, ending for now. Franceschini’s storyline may evolve, providing further depth to Emily’s character development.
Who Might Not Return
While many characters are expected to reappear, some may not be coming back. Geneviève, portrayed by Thalia Besson, is unlikely to return after being let go in season five. Additionally, Bryan Greenberg’s character Jake had a fleeting role, and it remains uncertain whether he will appear in future episodes.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding several characters, one thing is clear: if *Emily in Paris* is renewed, the stories of these characters are just beginning. With directors and creators hinting at new adventures and emotional journeys, fans can look forward to what lies ahead in the series. As anticipation builds, viewers remain hopeful for a vibrant continuation of Emily’s escapades in Paris and beyond.
