The New England Patriots’ wives and girlfriends, known as WAGs, paid tribute to rapper Cardi B during a lively party bus ride before the team’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers on January 11, 2024. Although Cardi B was not present at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, her presence was felt as the group celebrated their partner’s victory.

Videos shared on social media captured the excitement of the WAGs, who took a party bus to the Wild Card Round matchup. In one clip, they danced to Cardi’s hit song “WAP” alongside a caption that read, “@iamcardib we miss you girl ❤️.” Among those featured was Devynn Warns, the girlfriend of Patriots wide receiver Efton Chism, who was seen enjoying the festivities with a drink in hand. Another participant, Shelby Spillane, wife of linebacker Robert Spillane, enthusiastically rapped along while sipping a Miller Lite.

The evening culminated in a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday” for Carson Bradbury, wife of center Garrett Bradbury. The Patriots emerged victorious, defeating the Chargers with a score of 16-3, which advanced them to the AFC Divisional Round against the winner of the January 12 game between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Although Cardi B could not attend the game due to rehearsals for her upcoming tour, which starts on February 11, she demonstrated her support for Stefon Diggs and the Patriots from home. Following the win, she posted a celebratory video on her Instagram Story, exclaiming, “That’s what I’m talking about! Take them to Tulum! They want to go to Tulum tonight on Delta!”

“The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: They are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction,”

stated David Meier, attorney for Diggs, in response to allegations against the player. Diggs has been in the news following charges of felony strangulation or suffocation, as well as misdemeanor assault and battery, stemming from a reported incident involving his private chef at his home on December 2, 2023.

Despite these challenges, Diggs continues to perform on the field, contributing two receptions for 15 yards in the game against the Chargers. The Patriots organization has expressed their support for their star player, issuing a statement acknowledging the allegations while reinforcing Diggs’ denial of the claims.

“The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs. Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary,” the team stated, adding that further comments would be limited due to the ongoing legal matter.

The arraignment for Diggs is scheduled for February 13, 2024. As the Patriots prepare for their next playoff challenge, the camaraderie among team members and their families remains a vital component of their journey.
